Fertilizer Absorption and Fertility Dynamics of Celery

(1) Root absorption characteristics: The main root of celery is developed. After the main root is injured, more lateral roots grow quickly. Therefore, the seedlings should be transplanted. Most of the root groups are distributed in 20 cm deep soil layers and belong to shallow root vegetables. It is suitable for cultivation in loam or clay loam rich in organic matter (>1.5%), water retention and fertility, soil suitable pH of 6 to 7.5, salt content of less than 0.3%.

The absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are 2.0 kg, 0.93 kg and 3.88 kg, respectively.
