Field Management of Cherry Tomatoes

(1) Moisture management: A small amount of water is applied when planting, and before the first inflorescence is fully flowered, the topsoil of the soil is kept moist, and the water is fully irrigated to promote root growth. The second inflorescence controls the irrigation before fruiting, so that the plants do not wilt as a degree. Later, depending on the growth conditions, the topsoil is kept moist. When the soil is too dry and must be filled with water, choose sunny days and warm days to match topdressing. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are the main fertilizers, and 0.2%~0.5% of potassium phosphate can be used for top dressing. (2) Hormonal treatment: Miniature tomatoes have a large number of flowers. Pollination is poor at temperatures above 30°C and below 15°C, and the effect of using PCPA is obvious, especially in greenhouses where pollen activity is likely to decrease. The method is to use 150-200 times liquid in high temperature period and 100-150 times liquid in low temperature period; also use PC-PA100 times liquid + GA 3~5#215; 0.000001 to prevent empty fruit in 5~10 months. The spray method is to use a hand-held compression sprayer, with the left hand holding the flower and the right hand spraying the medicine, so that the fog points are evenly spread on the female styling head, and each inflorescence is sprayed three times periodically. (3) Pruning: Cherry tomatoes can be perforated lateral branches of each leaf, using a single stalk trimming, leaving only one main stalk during the growth process, the lateral branches grow out of the leaves were all removed. When the ear reaches the expected number of ears, the top buds are removed and the growth of the plants is inhibited so that the nutrients are concentrated on the fruits. After picking the right inflorescence, the last inflorescence is left, and two or three leaves are left on the inflorescence to pick the heart. This facilitates fruit growth and prevents sunburn. In the middle and late stages of growth, after the first ear is harvested, the leaves of the lower part of the plant enter into senescence and lose the function of assimilation. They should be removed in time to facilitate ventilation and light transmission; and the occurrence of diseases and insect pests should be reduced.
