According to Jinzhong, "fipronil" itself is a pesticide, not a veterinary drug. According to the assessment of the toxicity of this pesticide by the Joint Expert Committee of WHO and FAO, it is of moderate toxicity and is mainly used for the control of soil pests and hygienic insecticides. The management of pesticides in China is very strict under the pesticide management regulations, agricultural product quality and safety laws, and food safety laws.
