Analysis of Causes of Dairy Cows' Reproduction

Due to improper feeding and management, ovarian disease, endometritis, and reproductive technology errors can cause cows to develop reproductive disorders, resulting in cows that are not estrus for a long time, do not ovulate, or are often infertile. According to survey statistics, about 20% to 40% of dairy cows have reproductive obstacles, ranking first among the three common diseases of dairy cows, causing huge economic losses to the dairy industry.

Inappropriate feeding and management

Feed nutrient factors Malnutrition or high nutrient levels have different degrees of influence on estrus, conception rate, embryo quality, reproductive system function, and endocrine balance of dairy cows.

Heat stress factors Cows are cold-tolerant animals, suitable temperature is 0 °C ~ 21 °C, and summer temperatures are too high on the cow's feed intake, milk production, reproduction and other properties can have a serious impact.

Cow Health Factors Cows have other diseases such as metabolic disease, hoof disease and parasitic disease.

Ovarian disease

No ovulation occurs during the winter feeding period. The general cycle of cows does not change, although follicles develop after estrus but do not ovulate.

Persistent luteal cows do not have abortion after delivery or ovulation, luteal corpus luteum or gestational corpus luteum does not disappear within 25 days to 30 days, called persistent luteal body, clinical manifestations of the estrus cycle to stop the circulation, long-term estrus.

Ovarian cysts mainly occur in concentrate-feeding feeds, which are nutritious and lack of exercise and long-term estrus, and are not suitable for breeding cows. The fourth to sixth births have a high number of milk production periods, and their occurrence is generally related to endocrine disorders.

Endometritis

Acute endometritis occurs mostly in postpartum cows, and acute inflammation of the uterine mucous membranes is caused by microbes invading the uterus during childbirth and midwifery. The cows did not eat, the body temperature increased, there was bowing, urgency, and frequent urination postures. The discharge from the vagina was brown mucus or purulent discharge, and there was odor.

Chronic endometritis Chronic endometritis is caused by an untimely or incomplete development of acute treatment and is a major cause of common infertility in cows.

The symptoms of latent endometriosis are not obvious and the estrus cycle is normal. However, repeated infertility can sometimes cause embryonic death or early abortion. The cow emits more urine when it's estrus, and is slightly turbid, sometimes with a flocculent purulent discharge.

Breeding technical errors

The quality of poor semen quality is directly related to the conception rate of dairy cows.

The insemination technology is not standardized and the technical specifications of insemination are strictly controlled. The timing of insemination, the proper insemination site, and the avoidance of reproductive tract injury are the fundamental guarantees for improving the conception rate of dairy cows.

In Ethanol & Alcohol production process, the starches from agricultural products are converted in fermentable sugars with the help of enzymes. Lignocellulosic materials can be used to produce alcohol which is a kind of alternative energy that can replace the limited oil resources. Biomass based ethanol production is mainly composed of 2 steps: cellulose from lignocellulosic biomass is hydrolyzed to produce reduced sugar and reducing sugar is fermented to produce alcohol. Enzymatic hydrolysis of biomass will become the main means of future development because of its low energy consumption, product specificity and conforming to the government's environmental protection policy. Sunson Group supplys Xylanase, Pullulanase, Protease and Amylase for the ethanol & alcohol industry.

Ethanol is made from various agricultural products including corn, cereal and tapioca etc. During ethanol production process, the starches in these agricultural products are converted into fermentable sugars with the help of enzymes. These fermentable sugars are then fermented into ethanol by yeasts. Specifically, the ethanol production process includes four stages: starch liquefaction, starch saccharification, protein and non-starchy polysaccharides hydrolysis, and fermentation.

Benefits:

Promote the growth and reproduction of yeast
Improve the efficiency of fermentation
Promote the utilization of raw materials
Increase the starch conversion rate

This product should be stored in a cool and dry place in sealed container, avoiding insolation, high temperature and damp.  The product has been formulated for optimal stability. Extended storage or adverse conditions such as higher temperature or higher humidity may lead to a higher dosage requirement.

Enzyme preparations are proteins, which may induce sensitization and cause allergic type reactions in sensitized individuals. Prolonged contact may cause minor irritation for skin, eyes or nasal mucosa, so any direct contiguity with human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, consult a doctor.
