Management Techniques to Prevent the Premature Decline of Late Rice

After the ear of late rice no longer grows long leaves, the vegetative growth basically stops. If it is not managed properly, there will be a phenomenon of premature deterioration with "big spikes, lack of solidity, excess energy and insufficient stamina". Therefore, in order to increase the seed-setting rate and increase the grain weight, late-season rice must be cultivated to protect the leaves and prevent the management of premature aging.

1, insist on moist management. The function of the leaves is closely related to the vitality of the root system. Only by raising good roots can the leaves be protected and the root failure can be avoided. The key to raising the roots is to maintain moist management. Therefore, after the late rice is full of panicles, we must carry out wet irrigation, so that dry and wet, dry and warm alternately, water vapor pass, to create a suitable soil environment for the root system, in order to maintain a strong absorption of water absorption function. The specific approach is to insist on "running horse water" after flushing, that is, after 2-3 days of filling with water, allow the water to naturally dry and then fill with water once again, so as to keep the soil moist to yellow ripeness. 3-4 days before the general harvest water, avoid water cuts too early, otherwise it will artificially cause premature aging and affect the fullness of the grain.

2, for leaf fertilizer. After the late rice is full of panicles, with the gradual decline in temperature, the root absorption function is declining, and the panicle is still in the stage of nutrient enrichment and needs sufficient nutrient supply. If the nutrients are supplemented by applying foliar fertilizers outside the roots, the rice can be directly absorbed and utilized, with less fertilizer and quicker effect, and the photosynthetic function of the leaves can be maintained. In particular, the hybrid late rice has the characteristics of "re-grouting", and part of the "re-grouting" of spikelets can only be realized within 20 to 30 days after fertilization. Therefore, the fertility rate must be set more than 30 days after the panicle initiation. After the panicles, the leaf color of the rice plants fades, the soil quality is poor, the ear fertilizers are applied early or the varieties are more resistant to fertilizer, and the foliage fertilizer can be sprayed once every 5-7 days, even spraying 2-3 times. 500 grams of urea per mu, 100-150 grams of potassium dihydrogen phosphate, 100 grams of borax, 50-60 kilograms of water diluted diluted spray evenly, if the rice plant grows vigorously, dark green leaves drape, no urea. Spraying foliar fertilizer should pay attention to avoid late rice bloom time, generally after 4 pm.

Strengthen pest control. In the late stage of late rice, the main diseases and pests are late syndromes, rice planthoppers, and rice plants, etc. It is not possible to relax prevention work and mitigate harm.
