Many factors may lead to rising prices of winter aquatic products

The data released by the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday showed that the comprehensive average price of aquatic products wholesale market in October was 15.94 yuan per kilogram, up 0.33% month-on-month; the volume of sales was 496,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.59%; the turnover was 7.148 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.84%.

Datong Securities analyst Fu Yongjun: In general, due to weather conditions in the winter, seafood production has been reduced, prices have risen, and New Year holidays, Christmas and other holiday factors have caused prices to rise to a certain extent. In the long run, as China's stimulus for internal consumption and the nation’s consumption level have gradually increased, the space for the promotion of the entire aquatic product sector is still relatively large. However, short-term inflationary tightening expectations due to high inflation and the state's measures to control prices will all suppress the price of the corresponding stocks in the secondary market. Therefore, it is not optimistic in the short-term.
