The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) has conducted a random inspection of 86.8% of the ammonium chloride quality qualification rate this year. The AQSIQ recently announced the latest national supervision and spot checks on the quality of 38 ammonium chloride products from 33 companies in 12 provinces and cities including Tianjin. From the spot check situation, the actual quality level of China's ammonium chloride products remains at a relatively high level, and the majority of users can rest assured that they can choose. Of the 38 products that were spot checked, 33 were qualified, and the product sampling pass rate was 86.8%. The main problems are the lack of understanding of the product standards by the manufacturers and the lack of attention to the new standards. Some of the enterprises' product packaging labels are not standardized. When ammonium chloride is used as a nitrogen fertilizer for crops, the nitrogen content is the most important technical indicator of agricultural ammonium chloride products, and it is the key to improving the quality of ammonium chloride products. Too low an amount will result in insufficient nitrogen supply to the product after it is applied to the soil and cannot meet the nitrogen requirement of the crop growth. The spot check found that only one type of product was judged as unqualified because of insufficient nitrogen content, and other products had higher intrinsic quality. Some large companies’ products exceed the technology of superior products.
