Fitness // #FreshFit 2015 Goals
Hey there! I know it sounds cliché, but the New Year is right around the corner—and with it comes the inevitable wave of New Year's Resolutions. Now, I’m not here to judge anyone for setting intentions for the upcoming year, but this year, I’d like to propose something a bit different: instead of resolutions, let’s focus on setting meaningful goals.
Here’s why: resolutions often feel vague and overwhelming, and by the third week of January, they’re usually forgotten—or worse, abandoned altogether. Goals, on the other hand, are actionable, measurable, and far more likely to stick. They give you something concrete to work toward, and they keep you motivated along the way.
So, rather than saying, “I’m going to eat healthier†or “I’m going to exercise more,†let’s get specific. For example, my personal fitness goal for 2023 is to complete 500 miles of running. Yeah, you read that right—500 miles. Now, I’ll be honest—it’s a stretch for me, especially since I’ve never hit that mark before. But with dedication, consistency, and a solid plan, I believe it’s absolutely achievable.
Of course, this goal terrifies me a little, but that’s exactly the point. Growth happens when we push ourselves outside our comfort zones. And guess what? You probably have a similar goal waiting to be set—you just need to take the time to think about it.
Maybe your goal is as simple as committing to working out four times a week or trying to incorporate more plant-based meals into your diet. Or maybe it’s something bigger, like mastering a new skill or traveling to a foreign country. Whatever it is, make sure it aligns with your values and excites you enough to keep you going when things get tough.
So, I challenge you to join me in embracing this mindset shift. Share your goal in the comments below or use the hashtag #FreshFit on social media. Let’s hold each other accountable and cheer each other on as we work toward becoming better versions of ourselves in 2023.
Oh, and if you’re looking for some inspiration, check out this cute graphic I made to wrap up today’s post:

Let’s make 2023 the year of growth, intention, and action. Who’s with me?
Wishing you all the best in your journey ahead,
