White rice significantly increases the incidence of type 2 diabetes

White rice will significantly increase the incidence of type 2 diabetes. An article published in the British Medical Journal on March 15 stated that an analysis of 3 to 450,000 follow-ups for 4 to 22 years showed that Asians had an increase of 11% in the incidence of diabetes when they consumed 3 more fine white rice per day. The risk of diabetes increased by 55% in those who ate the most rice compared with the least.

The impact of white rice on high intake areas cannot be ignored. Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health analyzed the results of four published studies conducted in mainland China, Japan, Australia, and the United States.

Researchers in two Asian countries received an average of 3 to 4 rice per day, while those in two western countries received only 1 to 3 rice per week.

The results of the study showed that studies conducted in China and Japan found that people with the highest intake of white rice had a 25% higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those with the lowest intake. The intake of white rice was far less than that of China and Japan between China and Japan. People with the highest intake of white rice have a 12% higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes than those with the lowest intake.

This is because, at present, rice is eaten by many countries, and its smooth appearance is mainly obtained through shelling and grinding by machines, but such cereals mainly contain starch. In contrast, brown rice contains more fiber, magnesium, and vitamins than white rice, with a lower glycemic index. The Glycemic Index is an indicator of sugar content.

Researchers point out that there is still a need for further research on the link between "white rice and the risk of type 2 diabetes" and that the well-known high-sugar and high-fat diets are still on the taboo list.

RT-PCR Equipment

Real Time fluorescence quantitative PCR system is a variation of the standard PCR technique that is commonly used to
quantify DNA or RNA in a sample.

Using sequence-specific primers, the number of copies of a particular DNA or RNA sequence can be determined.

By measuring the amount of amplified product at each stage during the PCR cycle, quantification is possible.
