Disclaimer: This week's maternity series photo looks quite different from usual. Since my camera is still being repaired, I had to rely on my old point-and-shoot in the limited lighting of my hotel room. It’s definitely not what I had envisioned, but I think it adds a unique touch to this part of our journey.

30 weeks

Dear Little Tumbler,
You're now approximately 16 inches long and weigh close to 3 pounds! Your size is becoming harder to ignore, and I’ve resorted to sleeping surrounded by a cocoon of pillows to stay comfortable. I seem to be visiting the bathroom more often than ever, and it’s both inconvenient and amusing at the same time. Time is flying, and it feels like we're nearing the end of this incredible journey. Right now, we’re in Los Angeles, where I'll be making one last trip before bringing you into the world. According to my doctor, the day I fly home will also mark the official end of my travel plans until after your arrival. During this visit, we visited a fantastic fabric store called Mood to pick out materials for your nursery. It felt so surreal to hold these fabrics in my hands, knowing they'll soon be part of your space. Afterward, I realized how urgent it is to finish setting up the room. You seem just as eager to meet us as we are to meet you. Every time I mention your dad or your big sister, you wiggle and kick, and it’s such a magical moment. Just thinking about holding you, rocking you, and giving you all the love fills me with excitement and anticipation. There’s not much longer to wait now.

As I sit here reflecting on the past few months, I can't help but marvel at how fast time has passed. Pregnancy has been a whirlwind of emotions, physical changes, and endless preparations. From tracking your movements to researching every possible product for your arrival, each day has brought new discoveries. I've spent countless hours online, reading reviews and comparing prices, trying to ensure that everything we bring into your life is safe, comfortable, and perfect for you. Los Angeles has been a bittersweet experience during this final leg of my pregnancy. On one hand, it's been amazing to explore the city and immerse myself in its vibrant culture, but on the other hand, it’s also a reminder that soon, our lives will change forever. We’ve taken advantage of this trip to do some last-minute shopping, from stocking up on essentials to picking out tiny outfits that make my heart skip a beat. The nursery is slowly taking shape, though there’s still so much left to do. Painting the walls, arranging furniture, and organizing all the little details are all tasks that keep me busy. It’s hard work, but every step feels rewarding because it’s all for you. You’ve already brought so much joy and purpose to my life, even though you’re still tucked away inside me. I keep imagining what it will be like when you finally arrive. The first cry, the first smile, the first time you look up at me with those big eyes—it all seems so vivid in my mind. I can’t wait to cradle you in my arms, to watch you grow and develop, and to see the world through your innocent eyes. For now, though, I’ll savor these moments of quiet reflection. Each kick and flutter reminds me of the miracle happening within me. And while I may not have the ideal photos this week, I know they won’t matter in the long run. What truly matters is the bond we’re building, and the love that grows stronger with each passing day. Until next time, little one. Stay safe, stay strong, and hurry along—your mama can’t wait to meet you! With all my love, [Your Name]
