Disclaimer: This week’s maternity series photo turned out a bit differently than usual. My camera is still in the shop, so I had to rely on my old point-and-shoot under less-than-ideal lighting conditions—basically, the dim glow of the hotel room. It’s definitely not what I envisioned, but sometimes life throws curveballs, right? At least it gives this moment a unique touch!
To my little one,
You're now about 16 inches long and weigh close to 3 pounds! I can’t believe how big you’ve gotten already. I’ve been sleeping surrounded by a fortress of pillows just to stay comfortable these days. And let me tell you, my trips to the bathroom have become more frequent—it’s almost like clockwork. It’s funny, though, because even in the middle of the night, I find myself laughing about it. Time seems to be flying by so fast now that we’re nearing the end of this journey.
We’re currently in Los Angeles, and today was such a special day. We visited Mood, this incredible fabric store where they sell materials for all sorts of projects. I picked out some fabrics to decorate your nursery, and it felt like another step closer to bringing you into our world. Honestly, every time I think about meeting you, I get butterflies. I can’t wait to hold you, rock you, and give you all the love in the universe.
Speaking of love, I talked to Daddy earlier, and he said you were kicking up a storm while I was on the phone. You seem just as excited as we are to finally meet each other. I can’t help but smile every time I see a baby or even just think about holding you. It won’t be long now. I’m counting down the days until I bring you home. Until then, keep wiggling around in there—you’re growing stronger every day!
