Why Does Rhizobium Fix Nitrogen in Soybean Apply Nitrogen Fertilizer?

Soybeans need more nitrogen. Although they have rhizobial bacteria at their roots, they can fix nitrogen in the air for absorption and utilization by soybeans. However, nitrogen fixed by root nodules can not meet the needs of the whole growth period of soybeans. Experiments have shown that the amount of nitrogen fixed by soybean rhizobia can provide 1/2-2/3 of the required nitrogen for soybean itself, and the rest of the nitrogen must be supplemented by applying nitrogen fertilizer. In the lean and base fertilizer-deficient fields, after the emergence of soybeans, the nitrogenous substances in the seeds have basically been used up. At this time, the nodule has not yet formed, or the nitrogen fixation capacity is still weak. Therefore, nitrogen deficiency often occurs during the seedling stage. When sowing, a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer is used as a seed fertilizer to promote the growth of roots and leaves of seedlings. Fertilizers with high fertility and sufficient weight at the bottom may not be fertilized with nitrogen fertilizer.

In medium fertility plots, nitrogen fertilizer and other fertilizers can be mixed as base fertilizer to meet the nitrogen requirement for soybean seedlings. The application amount of fertilizer is generally 10-15 kg of ammonium bicarbonate or 4-5 kg of urea per mu. The amount of nitrogen fertilizer absorbed in the seedling stage must be controlled, because too much nitrogen in the base fertilizer or seed fertilizer will inhibit the reproduction and nitrogen fixation ability of the rhizobia. The application of the seed fertilizer should be strictly separated from the seed and fertilizer to prevent burning. After the flowering of soybean, the amount of nitrogen uptake peaked. Since the rhizobia's nitrogen fixation capacity has been weakened during the grain-filling period, nitrogen deficiency may also occur. Therefore, in the general fertility conditions, topdressing nitrogen fertilizer also has a good effect, especially in the lean land is more obvious, the amount of fertilizer is generally applied per acre of ammonium bicarbonate 10 kg or 4 kg of urea. In addition, it can also be used for foliar spraying of 1%-2% urea solution for nitrogen-deficient fields in the period of soybean grain scarring. The effect is also very good.
