The API classification system for diesel engine oils is designed to meet the specific needs of different types of engines. For light-duty diesel engines, the CA grade is recommended. The CB grade is suitable for diesel engines with moderate loads. Additionally, it provides rust and low-temperature deposit control for gasoline engines. CD is designed for high-load diesel engines, especially those that are highly supercharged and high-speed. It effectively prevents high-temperature deposits and bearing corrosion across a wide range of fuel specifications. This oil meets the requirements of Caterpillar’s Super Lubricant formula and is suitable for Caterpillar diesel engines. CD-II is tailored for high-load two-stroke diesel engines. It offers excellent wear protection and deposit control while meeting the quality standards of API CD-grade diesel oil. CE is intended for high-performance heavy-duty diesel engines, particularly turbocharged or highly supercharged engines operating at both low and high speeds under heavy loads. Its quality meets or exceeds API CD standards, as well as the CUMMINS NTC400 test and MACK EO-K/2 specifications. CF-4 is suitable for high-performance heavy-duty diesel engines, especially four-stroke engines used in heavy vehicles on highways. It outperforms and can replace API CE oil, improving oil consumption and overall engine performance.
