How to properly adjust the rotavator blade

Rotary cultivators paired with wheeled tractors typically control tillage depth through the tractor's hydraulic system. For both fully and semi-separable hydraulic systems, position adjustment is essential. In split hydraulic systems, the depth of the rotating blades can be fine-tuned using positioning clamps on the cylinder rod. During operation, the joystick should be set to the "floating" position to allow for smooth and responsive depth control. When using a walking-type tractor, the depth of cultivation is adjusted by modifying the height of the tail wheel. It's important to maintain the rack in a horizontal and level position during operation. The front and rear positions should also remain aligned horizontally to ensure even performance. The suspension boom’s left and right arms are used to adjust the overall level of the machine. When the tractor moves at a constant speed, the cutter shaft's rotational speed directly affects soil quality. A faster rotation results in better soil breakdown, while a slower rotation may lead to poor mixing and uneven tilling. Conversely, if the cutter shaft rotates at a constant speed, a higher tractor speed increases the volume of soil being worked. Generally, the cutter shaft operates at a slower speed to maintain efficiency. However, when finer soil texture is required or when double plowing is necessary, a faster gear can be selected. During rotary tilling operations, tractors usually use first and second gears, but for dual passes, third gear is often preferred. This setup allows for more thorough soil preparation and better crop establishment. Always check the equipment manual for specific recommendations based on soil conditions and crop requirements.
